(SPEECH) Should you need to remove tape due to wear or new floor plan, it is recommended that the tape be lifted gently at the corner then pulled up at a perpendicular angle. (DESCRIPTION) A demonstrator pulls long strips of tape off a floor. (SPEECH) This can help minimize adhesive residue and any damage to the surface where the tape has been applied. If there is any adhesive residue left on the floor, it may be softened by use of many common solvents such as heptane, toluene, methyl ethyl ketone, or 3M Citrus Based Cleaner. (DESCRIPTION) A demonstrator sprays cleaner solution from a bottle on the floor, and wipes away debris thereon with a clean cloth. He uses circular motions with the cloth and applies the solution to the floor frequently as he cleans. (SPEECH) Be sure to follow the manufacturer's precautions and directions for use when using solvents. Prior to using any solvent to help remove adhesive residues, it is strongly recommended if the solvent be tested to determine the compatibility with the underlying surface finish in an inconspicuous location.
